Figures from movie industry worldwide

As global cinema industry figures are published annually, some of the figures might raise eyebrows, while others would simply astonish the readers. ifilm will, in this series of articles (in tips format), highlight some of those figures, based on globally published statistics for 2017.

5- Video material released both digitally and on any form of disc, i.e. home entertainment, grew 11 percent worldwide.

7- Three in four north American people went to cinema at least once. Teenagers comprised the top echelon on the list of per capita visits, with almost 5 cinema attendances per year. Next followed immigrants of Hispanic or Latino origin, with 4.5, while next was Asians, with 4.3.
